St. Johns Pub

St. Johns Pub

Named after the community its found in St. Johns Pub offers another wonderful McMenimans hangout. Perhaps its true appeal is the fact that its not well known. Most people outside of the North Portland neighborhood have probably never heard of it. The key to most businesses is location, location, location. St. Johns isn't like NW23rd, but it has its own style and you have to respect that. The area has a lot to offer and includes the historic St. Johns bridge and park below.

The Pub has three different and unique areas. During the summer an outside area is great for enjoying the well known McMenimans beer lineup. If the weather isn't cooperating, the inside offers a wonderfully decorated area. St. Johns Pub is also a smaller music venue, and while I've never got to experience the acoustics, I have taken peek into the concert area and it looks worthwhile.

The food at the Pub is standard with nothing special. The only thing difference between this McMenimans joint is the building and atmosphere. If you happen to be in North Portland stop by and enjoy a beer. The Ruby is always a favorite.
