"Portland's best kept secret!"

Shenanigan's slogan of best kept Portland secret is right on the money. This hide away on Swan Island is the perfect place to enjoy a beer after work with friends. Located right on the Willamette River, Shenanigan's has the best Happy Hour special I've come across in Portland. Running from 5-7 Monday through Friday the Happy Hour includes: $3.25 32-ounce beers, different mixed drink specials everyday, and a different buffett line up everyday. Other bars may have more impressive food specials, but how many happy hours run until 7pm? And if that wasn't enough Shenanigan's also has a nice size deck to relax on by the river.

It is not my intent to discourage you from coming to Shenanigan's but it does have some draw backs. On a hot day when all you want is a cold beer from the tap, you might not be getting it. This place was obviously not designed by someone Irish because they ran the tap lines through the roof. And, when it gets hot outside, the beer is nothing but warm foam. If you can take the occasional warm beer there is only one other obstacle to overcome. The waitresses can, but not always provide poor service.

Please do take the time to visit this secret in North Portland. If enough people come maybe they can finally afford to replace those bad taps. Cheers! 9
