Greek Cusina

This place isn't my favorite in Portland, but I've had some great memories here and its worth talking about.

The food as you could guess is Greek. This is the biggest out of about 10 Greek restaurants in town and while prices might seem steep they make up for it with large portions. The pita bread and dipping oil served before the meal is very tasty, and beats the standard bread and butter most restaurants try to toss at you. The atmosphere can be quite loud with the open kitchen right next to the dining area, but that something usually expected of Greek restaurants.

Upstairs offers more areas to eat as well as the bar and dance floor. If you go on the right night they feature a belly dancer who dazzles all with her moves. And, if your lucky you'll get the chance to dance in front of everybody and make a fool out of yourself with the belly dancer. Perhaps the best thing the Greek Cusina offers is free Ouzo to anybody celebrating anything. Tip your head back, open up, and everybody will count away. A pro at this can get drunk and not pay a dime. And, if you show up early enough, you might be able to break a plate and not even have to pay for it.

The crowd at the Greek Cusina tends to be very mixed. They get the young crowd in for Bachelor and Bachelorette parties, but the everybody else tends to be older. Rumor has it people lose there underwear often here, make sure you put a clean pair on before coming.
