Bar 71 Berbatis Pan Biddy McGraws Bitter End Blue Note Boggie Woggies Brazen Bean BridgePort |
Just a short stroll from N.W. 23rd, north on Burnside and past the Fred Meyers is where you'll find The Bitter End.
The name conjures up images of a guy carrying his buddy out of the jungle after a bloody "Apocalypse Now" style battle, only to find the enemy waiting just outside the bushes.
This is not the case however when you walk into this hidden treasure of a bar. In fact, the only bitterness I discovered was my bitterness and
jealousy for their fabulous couches.
This place has all the touches of a great place. They have many games (pool, video, and darts), bands most nights, and a large selection of drink specials,
one for every day of the week. But the best thing about The Bitter End is its diverse seating arrangements. The possibilities are endless. You could sit in the above mentioned fabulous styled
couches, or have a seat at the bar. You could have a chat with friends at the tall swivel chairs or sit alone in a deep dark booth.
Its all these little choices and perks that make this bar critic give The Bitter End a 9
