A girl once told me that the best place to 'get your drunk on' is the lounge of a chinese restaurant. The jury is still out on that verdict however to test this theory try out The Tiki Room.

This place goes on my dive top five list. It's a stinky little establishment with bits of lounge laying everywhere. You can just feel the hip particles waiting to be released. It's one of places that hipsters frequent because it isn't hip. The logic is a little fuzzy but it pays off in this example.

This place has typical decor, typical seating, and typical prices. But there are a few little things that make this place fun. There's the stage with hypnotic music on Saturdays. There's low lighting that makes you feel cool/romantic/hip, and then there's Joyce the up-beat elderly bartender (sounds like a sit-com). So come on in and try it out, tell them Matlock sent ya!
