Ash Street Saloon

Ash Street Saloon

Rock music in Portland has typically been low on the testosterone, hypnotic, and crybabyish (I blame The Smiths). However, there are some bands around that play good ole' fashioned rock 'em, pound your fist, shout at the devil music. This stuff usually spawns from listening to to much Led Zepplin and pretending you're Pete Townsen in the garage.

Luckily for you people there is a forum for all who miss hairbands, hendrix, and Van Halen. This place is Ash ST. Saloon. Ash Street has always supported local rock music and that is the main reason to go to this club. You can see kids give the rock and roll sign while pounding there heads back and forth violently, Its great!

The bar is typical with the same assortments of well drinks, beers, and specials. The staff is very friendly, including the doorman. And dispite the small quarters, ash Street is surprisingly comfy. So for a night out give The Saloon a try Partner!
